Hedi Slimane, creative director of Saint Laurent is to dress Keith Richards of The Rolling Stones for their upcoming tour, ‘The Rolling Stones: 50 years and Counting’.
The Stones embark on what feels like their thousandth world tour this summer and it appears we are in for both a visual and an audio treat as Slimane has been given the task of dressing the iconic guitarist.
Slimane has stuck true to Richard’s rock roots, designing signature pieces such as leather jacket, t-shirts, silk scarves and a leather waistcoat and it has just been confirmed that these pieces will soon be available to buy online and in store. Looks like we know just where to go to get our very own high fashion rock credentials. 
This collaboration contributes to Slimane’s huge passion for music. His campaign, The Saint Laurent Music Project features a who’s who of iconic music stars, from Marilyn Manson and Courtney Love, to Daft Punk frontmen Guy and Thomas.

The Warrior is a new Italian brand that produces limited edition bags. Their SS13 is called “Geometric Storm” since every bag is built around a specific geometric shape.

Good morning! We started our day listening to this new, romantic and nostalgic song by Lana del Rey, a reinterpretation of a 60’s song made famous by Nancy Sinatra.

The man in the video is Lana’s real boyfriend Barrie-James O’Neill, a singer for the band Kassidy.

This years Chanel Resort 2014 show was more like a high fashion sports day with king Karl choosing cricket as a source of inspiration. In the spirit of the cruise aspect of the collection, the show was filled with references to holidays past and present. The quintessentially British past time of cricket was represented by males and females taking to the catwalk clad in traditional looking cricket whites complete with Chanel cricket bats, naturally. 

Lagerfeld also drew some inspiration from his surroundings; this year, the exotic isles of Singapore, and featured a graphic array of eastern influence within his collection. Black and white tribal prints reminiscent of traditional curtains that adorn some of Singapore’s homes were reinterpreted as fun, holiday appropriate attire with a relaxed feel. 

Plenty of signature Chanel magic was also present; pearls, chamelios and the obligatory interpretation of the classic Chanel jacket; this time a relaxed short sleeved, open neck white tweed number.
